Viola Lessons
Over my 20+ years in the Bay Area I have been a part of a very wide variety of musical endeavors. Playing classical music in symphony and opera orchestras, playing non-classical styles in Quartet San Francisco, being a multi-instrumentalist with touring bands, and arranging and recording string parts for studio sessions have helped me mature as a musician. I believe this has enabled me to approach music making from different directions and to think outside the box when teaching students. There is not one single approach to learning the viola and every student is different. I enjoy finding out how a student learns best and custom tailoring my teaching methods appropriately.
I am currently accepting a limited number of viola students in the San Jose and Santa Cruz areas. All lessons take place in the student's home.
